Belgium is a country of beer lovers and producers.
Every bar attendant will know how to sell you a beer according to your taste, describing all their attributes. I’m more used to hear those descriptions about wine, but I confess belgian beers convinced me. It can definitely be a mission to try all their different types and flavours!
Mort Subite is a type of  fruit lambic beer, made of natural ingredients through a process of spontaneous fermentation. Its a tasty cheery beer, perfect to chill a warm day!

Where to find the best waffles in Brussels? That is probably too hard to answer in a place with so many yummy options…yet here it goes a suggestion: Mokafe!
The waffles are tasty, properly served with knife and fork, the service is friendly and everything is affordable for the place.
Mokafe is worth a visit since it’s located in the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert, a 19th century fancy glazed shopping gallery, similar to the Vittorio Emanuelle ones (Milan), where you can find several luxury stores, chocolate ones included of course!

For this trip to Brussels I decided to try a different kind of accommodation: what in french they call “chambres d’hôtes”. Basically it’s a guest room in a family house and sometimes can be really cheap for what you get , specially in expensive cities.
Les oiseaux de passage was a pleasant choice: I had a big comfortable room and shared some moments and stories with a friendly belgium family during the breakfast.
